Pectus Carinatum Brace Customization Process: How to Get Your Custom Corrective Brace

We offer two ways to get started — remote customization for international patients, or in-person at our Guangzhou clinic.

Option A: Remote Customization (For International Patients)

1. Medical Diagnosis
A qualified physician confirms your diagnosis of Pectus Carinatum before beginning the customization process.

2. CT Scan Requirements
A chest CT scan is needed to create your precise 3D model.

• Scan area: From just below the collarbone to above the navel

• Technical specs: Slice thickness of 1.25–5 mm (adjustable based on age)

• For children under 3: A 5 mm slice thickness is used for safety while ensuring accurate data

Note: The CT scan is performed at your local medical facility; we only need the digital data.

3. Data Collection
Please prepare:

• CT data: Original DICOM files (.dcm format)

• Photos: Front and side views of your upper body

• Video: A 180° slow rotation video of your upper body

4. Submit Your Information
Email all materials to: 1752119111@qq.com (include your full name and contact details)

You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

5. Evaluation & Confirmation
Our clinical team reviews your materials within 3–5 business days to confirm suitability for remote customization.

6. Brace Design & Manufacturing
Once approved, we design and 3D-print your custom brace. Production typically takes 7–10 business days.

7. Delivery & Fitting Support
Your brace is shipped to your address. You'll receive:

• Video guidance on how to wear and adjust the brace

• Email support for any fitting questions

Option B: In-Clinic Customization (Guangzhou, China)

1. In-Person Evaluation
Visit our EMK Guangzhou clinic for a comprehensive assessment with our specialists.

2. 3D Chest Scanning
We use non-invasive 3D scanning technology to capture precise measurements — no radiation, no discomfort.

3. Rehabilitation Guidance
You'll receive a personalized exercise plan, professional manual therapy guidance (if applicable), and hands-on instruction on how to use your Pectus Carinatum Brace effectively.

4. Brace Fitting & Pickup

• In-person pickup: Once your custom brace is ready, try it on at the clinic with our team's guidance

• Shipping option: We can also ship it to you with video fitting support
